What is DotOfLife?
DotOfLife is an infinite wall where anyone can claim a dot — a small rectangular spot — and use it to tell their story. Each dot has a dedicated story page where you can share photos, text, links, and memories.
What can I use my dot for?
Anything meaningful to you. People use dots to memorialize loved ones, celebrate milestones like graduations and weddings, promote a small business, honor a pet, or just leave their mark on the world. Every dot tells a different story.
How much does a dot cost?
Dots are $0.10 per pixel. You pick the size — the smallest dot is 20 pixels (about $2) and the largest is 10,000 pixels ($1,000). Most people spend between $2 and $40.
Can I upload a photo?
Yes! You can upload a photo that will appear on the wall when people zoom in. You can also choose a text-only dot with a colored background if you prefer.
Where will my dot be placed?
We automatically place your dot right next to the existing community so the wall stays tight and cohesive. You don't need to hunt for an empty spot.
Can I edit my dot after I buy it?
You can edit your story page at any time — update the title, description, story text, and links. The image and size on the wall are set at purchase.
Is my dot permanent?
Yes. It's a one-time payment with no subscriptions or renewals. Your dot stays on the wall for as long as DotOfLife exists.
What's the anniversary glow?
When you create a dot, you can set a special date — a birthday, anniversary, memorial date, or any date that matters. Every year on that day, your dot will glow on the wall.
How does moderation work?
Every dot goes through content moderation before it appears on the wall. We use automated tools to catch harmful content, and our team reviews dots manually. We want the wall to be a safe, welcoming space.
Can people interact with my dot?
Yes! Visitors can leave hearts on dots they love, and leave comments on your story page. As the dot owner, you approve which comments appear.
Do I need an account?
Yes, you'll need to create a free account to purchase and manage your dot. We just need an email address and a display name.
Can I get a refund?
Dots are non-refundable once placed. If there's an issue with your purchase, reach out to us and we'll do our best to help.
